Symptom 13. Urinary Problems: An Uncomfortable Reality
Urinary problems, another uncomfortable symptom, can take many forms for those with fibromyalgia. Increased frequency of urination, urgency, and bladder pain are all commonly reported. It’s a bothersome symptom that can disrupt daily activities and contribute to the overall distress.
Imagine feeling a constant urge to urinate, having to plan your activities around restroom access, or feeling pain while urinating. It’s an inconvenience at best and significantly distressing at worst.
This symptom again reflects the systemic nature of fibromyalgia. Just like the gut, the bladder can also get entangled in the web of heightened sensitivity and pain that characterizes this condition.
